Heels hurt! Even in custom Louboutins Blake Lively faces foot pain.
The star stunned on the Met Gala red carpet last night in head-to-toe custom made, one-of-a-kind pieces to create her statement look, including custom Louboutins.
However, while beautiful and pristine, they were clearly uncomfortable, as Blake received a piggy-back ride from Christian Louboutin himself! (Fake News Alert). Rather than arrive with her husband Ryan Reynolds (who was busy with promotion for Deadpool 2), Lively brought the famed shoe designer who created her one-of-a-kind heels for the night. About the design he describes, “I wanted to design a delicate armor for her feet. A feminine warrior with a gold tassel for the religious wink.” The heels were made of crocodile, which is quite rough and masculine, paired with gold and silver precious stones in a beautiful pattern inspired by church bells. Yet, not even custom-made attention could save Blake from the inescapable shoe pain. For most of us, It’s not a matter of if, but when your feet will start to hurt while in Louboutins.
On top of her custom Louboutins, Blake wears a crimson Versace gown, featuring regal embroidery, a bejeweled bodice, and a sumptuous train (which, according to Vogue, was SO gargantuan that she had to take a party bus to the red carpet!). The bodice alone took 600 hours to embroider. She accessorized with over $2 million worth of Lorraine Shwartz jewelry including a custom-made halo with over 100 carats of nude champagne diamonds, a pair of 30-carat Colombian emerald and diamond earrings, an armful of gold bracelets, three diamond and ruby rings, and of course, her personal oval Lorraine Shwartz engagement ring. Her hair lay in a wispy braided updo atop her head, finished with the Lorraine Shwartz halo-esque headpiece. Both Christian Louboutin and Lorraine Shwartz received the dress prior to their designs and were thus inspired off of it.
