Do you know the REAL reason Meghan Markle’s shoes don’t fit?

If you were dazzled by the Duthcess’s latest Givenchy number and fabulous hat at Ascot this past week, you probably overlooked something peculiar. While her black leather pumps were the least remarkable part of her outfit, paying closer attention to them reveals they were WAY too big! But then, on closer inspection of Markle’s past looks, it appears this is no exception and the oversized heel is a habit of hers.

But WHY? Wouldn’t a fashion icon with a shoe collection valued at $20,000 rather be caught dead then in ill-fitting shoes? According to the Sun’s fashion expert Harriet Davey, "Celebs often go a size up, or even two, in the shoe department when they're at an event or on the red carpet and it's for one reason we can all relate to - to avoid blisters. There's nothing worse than uncomfortable shoes (we've all been there on a night out) and when celebs like Meghan are wearing heels for a long period of time their feet can often swell up."

Skeptical? Us too. If a woman buys a “bigger size” to fit the toe area, then the shoe is too long for her foot and in most cases slips off. According to Dr. Singer, a podiatrist at UCLA, this is worse for a woman - this is the #1 cause of twisting an ankle or causing her to fall down. However, Meghan is clearly an anomaly, having yet to take a tumble and perpetually effortless in her sky-high sandals.
